Policies at a Glance
Rates
Initial Intake Appointment – $195
Counseling Session – $165 All sessions are 55-minutes unless agree otherwise.
Insurance
Rhoda Keefer Counseling is in-network with Aetna and BCBS. We will submit for you—but you must verify your coverage.
Out-of-network? We provide a Superbill for you to submit. Most plans only cover a portion.
Ask your insurer:
- Do I have mental health benefits?
- What's my deductiable and have I met it?
- Any session limits per year?
- What's my copay or coinsurance per session?
- Do I need a referral from my PCP?
We do NOT accept Medicare or Medicade.
Payment
We accept debit cards (including HSA and FSA), Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
A card on file is required to book. You are charged at the end of each session.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 24 hours in advance or you’ll be charged the full session fee.
Insurance does not cover missed sessions — this is your responsibility.
Weekend/holiday cancellations count on the next business day.
Example: Cancel a Monday appointment by Friday.
Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)
You have the right to a written cost estimate before non-emergency care.
- We provide a Good Faith Estimate at least 1 business day before your session (or upon request).
- Covers therapy sessions and related costs.
- If billed $400+ over the estimate, you can dispute the charge.
- Save your copy.
